The idea for probably the most perfect car of all times was developed while having to wait at the Linate Airport in Milano, Italy in September of 1988. McLaren Boss Ron Dennis, his partner Mansour Ojjeh, as well as formula one constructors Gordon Murray and Creighton Brown were stuck for a few hours and spent their time thinking about a street legal car, that would be as close to the formula one as possible in terms of driving characteristics.
